Hi Friends,

Wow, thanks for your support! I have received dozens of responses about my struggles with weight. I want to thank all of you who took the time to give me your remedies, tell me about helpful books, and generally wish me luck. It means a lot to me to know that I have so very much support.

I would like to mention a great fundraiser this Friday night, the Outpost Performance Space’s 25th Anniversary Gala Benefit Dinner & Concert Featuring Mavis Staples & Corey Harris at the Albuquerque Museum amphitheater. You can have a wonderful dinner, catered by Slate Street Café, bid on a silent auction item, as well as the concert. For 25 years, the Outpost has been presenting the best in jazz, international and experimental music, folk and roots music, spoken word, education programs for youth and adults, teen and kids performances, art exhibits, and more. This is a must see concert with legendary vocalist Mavis Staples (of Staples Singers renown) and opening the concert will be American blues guitarist, Corey Harris.
